Meet Mrs. Tracy Kirby

Hi, I'm Tracy Kirby!
So good to have you here.

Welcome to our homeschooling community! I am dedicated to providing meaningful, supportive resources and assistance for all students and families. Kirby Homeschool is here to help families in every step of the way, on their homeschooling journey. We work together to create a positive and enriching experience for your child.

I am a Florida Certified Teacher and the Director of Outreach, at Kirby Family Farm. I am a Choice Navigator, Private Tutor, Homeschool Evaluator and I  love homeschooling our daughter.

I graduated in 2007 with a BA in Elementary Education K-6th with my ESOL Endorsement and later became Certified in K-12 Exceptional Student Education. I am also a Family Empowerment Scholarship (Step Up For Students) Direct Pay Provider.

I have been proudly serving the Homeschool Community for over a decade. Feel free to contact me today and let me know if I can assist you with navigating, tutoring, classes, co-ops, or end of the year evaluations.

Amber Thornton began her love of working with kids at Two By Two Preschool. She worked there for 7 years, and obtained her early literacy and 40-hr childcare training certificate as a teen, then went on to take elementary education courses through Santa Fe College. Amber always wanted to be a teacher. She graduated in 2008 from Santa Fe College with her Radiography degree, mainly because the schedule would be more flexible and work better for her family.

Amber is certified now in multiple imaging modalities, the primary being computed tomography. In 2018, her dream of being a teacher would become a reality when she and her husband, Jeff, decided to homeschool their two children, Jaxon and Ellie. Amber took on this new and exciting role as a homeschool teacher while continuing to work full time in the hospital. Amber began networking, helping other homeschool families, doing curriculum consultations, making and selling educational binders, and planning large scale events for local homeschoolers such as the annual Levy County Spring dance, and Kirby Farm’s Field Day.

In 2020, Amber began working alongside Tracy Kirby to help with Kirby Kids Co-Op. In 2021, Amber began helping and assisting other families with homeschool planning, record keeping and tutoring and was able to go part-time in the medical field. Amber has a passion for homeschooling, working with children, and helping to make education fun and meaningful.
